This park is the first garden park constructed in the French style in Japan, established in 1914. Its elevation is 574-611 meters, realized that this park is constructed on a steep slope. It might be a little bit tough for some persons to walk through the entire park. One of the symbols is a huge Himalayan cedar standing in the center in this pic.
In early summer, surrounded by the great caldera of Hakone with brilliant fresh greens, highly recommend visiting and relaxing.

今月の箱根は強羅公園の眺め。
1914年にできた日本初のフランス式庭園。標高は574-611m、急斜面につくられてます。人によっては、公園全体を歩いて回るのはちょっときついかも。写真の真ん中にはシンボル的存在のひとつ、大きなヒマラヤスギ。
初夏は箱根カルデラの新緑に囲まれて、のんびりするには最適の時季です。
