
“If you can’t feed a hundred people, then just feed one.” This has always been one of my favorite quotes by Mother Theresa. So often, I find myself feeling powerless, purposeless, and even worthless because I don’t have the means, don’t have the skills, don’t have what it takes to save hundreds, thousands of people. Especially during times like this when millions around the world are suffering – physically, mentally, emotionally. I wish I could save them all. But I can’t. So I feel powerless.Then I remember this beautiful quote. If you can’t feed a hundred people, then just feed one. If I can’t save a hundred people, I could save just one. What can I do? What am I able to do? I could stay home when possible. I could go to the grocery store once a week instead of 3-4 times a week. I could do laundry once every 2 weeks instead of every week.
